Company Security & Privacy Policy

Bytes Technology Group Limited (Bytes) is totally committed to protecting customer security and privacy. In developing our customer relationships we appreciate that customer information should be kept safe and secure and we guarantee to do that. All communication, instructions and information between us are treated in strict confidence.

This policy applies to all customer information, in whichever way it is gathered, and the following are the key points:

Bytes will use information that is learned from customers to personalise and continually improve our customer relationships. Information is used to handle and communicate orders, deliver products and services and process payments.

Bytes does not sell, share or rent any information about clients to other organisations.

Information supplied to us by customers is securely stored and can only be accessed for the purposes for which it was provided.

Bytes processes data in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This is ensured by the use of strict operational processes and procedures. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to customer information.

Staff are trained on security systems and relevant processes and procedures which are reviewed regularly for ongoing effectiveness and suitability for purpose. All employees are kept up-to-date on the Bytes security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as at any time new policies are added, employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure that customer information is protected.

Bytes’ security procedures will occasionally request proof of identity before disclosure of customer information to you.

Bytes will, following a customer request, provide a copy of any information that we hold and will change or remove it if necessary/required.

All IT systems are kept in a secure environment with appropriate access control. We are audited on a regular basis by various independent security companies, plus internal audits by the Company’s Holding company.

If Bytes decide to change any parts of this policy it will be posted on the website www.bytes.co.uk. Also, if Bytes intend to make changes to the way we use customer information we will ask for consent to do so.

If considered appropriate or necessary Bytes will agree/sign a Non-Disclosure agreement with a customer.
