Important Check Point end of sale notification UTM, Power-1 and IP series appliances
You may have seen the announcement from Check Point that their IP Series appliances are going end of sale this December. That's not the end of the story...Check Point have also announced End of Sale Announcements on various UTM, VSX and Power-1 Appliances over the past six months, as well as publicising widely now the last date an IP Series Appliance can be purchased is December 31, 2013. That means 30 different legacy Check Point appliances and their accessories are no longer available to purchase and will be going end of support in the next few years.

End of support timetableCheck Point will continue to offer full engineering support for UTM and Power-1 Appliances until April 2015 and for IP Series Appliances until June 2016 Accessories also affectedImportantly, the following will not be available to purchase for appliances: Interface cards, memory upgrades, port cards, transceiver modules, power supply, hard disk drives, flash cards...

Check Point UTM, Power-1 and IP Series Appliances customers are encouraged to migrate to Check Point 2012 Security Appliances.
