On 1st May 2014, Xeretec, one of the largest and most established suppliers and integrators of digital print hardware, software, solutions and service in the UK and Ireland – acquired our Xerox reseller division, Bytes Document Solutions UK (BDS), part of the Bytes Technology Group (BTG) in the UK. The acquisition unites two highly successful Xerox suppliers and now positions Xeretec as Xerox's largest reseller in Western Europe in terms of scale, managed print services and large production equipment sales.The sale of BDS UK by Bytes in the UK will allow us to continue our focus on software and software services, where we have enjoyed considerable success as a partner with software publishers such as Microsoft, Checkpoint, Symantec, VMware, Citrix and Oracle. Neil Murphy, Group MD at Bytes, said: "The Bytes Group intends to invest further in its software and software services capabilities. Importantly, we will work in close partnership with Xeretec moving forward to ensure customer satisfaction is our number one priority."
To ensure continuity for customers, all current customer relationships, service and support will continue to be served uninterrupted by existing offices. Following the acquisition, customers will immediately benefit from an unmatched knowledge of and experience in print technology and print-related software services.
