Bytes win prestigious award for excellence in employee engagement

Fiona Townsend, Group HR Manager at Bytes is delighted to receive the award for The Best Companies to Work For 2016. This sought after award measures and acknowledges excellence in workplace engagement - where only organisations with the highest level of overall employee engagement qualified. "At Bytes, we see a strong correlation between happy staff and happy customers - for us they go hand in hand" says Fiona.

Neil Murphy, Group Managing Director adds, "Continued strong growth has enabled us to really invest in our people and working environment. New purpose built offices with plenty of parking, a gym and even an outside tiki bar for Friday evenings all contribute to happy, healthy employees - not to mention the various incentive trips where everyone, not just sales, are included. Our staff work hard to make sure are customers are happy, so it's the company's job to make sure our staff are happy!".Small things that make a big difference to staff at Bytes:

  • A preference to promote from within - most managers home grown
  • Profit-related bonus paid annually for ALL staff
  • Sun and ski incentive trips
  • 90 minute lunch breaks, twice weekly, for sports activities
  • In-chair massages
  • Gym and showers - also used by those bike riding to work
  • Chill-out area with table tennis, darts and pool tables
  • A "See it, Fix it" policy to encourage staff feedback on any issue
  • Rewards for Employee of the Month and an annual Who's the Greatest

We are proud of our staff wellbeing survey results:

  • 85% positive score for health not suffering due to work
  • 78% score for a happy work / life balance
  • 77% say their work does not affect responsibilities at home
