eLearning and Learning Management
Technology supported learning, more commonly known as eLearning, is one of the most cost effective training methods in today’s workplace. So what is the eLearning challenge all about?
Customers tell us they are concerned about which content offers best value for money and greatest ease of deployment. The question is whether eLearning can be used for all IT training or simply offered as part of a blended approach upon migration to Office 2007? Outside of systems training, we are asked if managers worldwide can learn basic management principles and techniques via eLearning? Which solutions offer the right functionality to centralise eLearning, books, videos and classroom events? To resolve these questions Bytes learning solutions partners with Arc IT Training.
eLearning content
A vendor neutral, independent consultancy, Arc IT Training gives impartial advice and helps customers to choose best in class products. We add value to a project by helping you to select the right provider, and sourcing content at the best possible price. We find and review content for eLearning license renewal or for new training requirements.
Content comparisons between providers are undertaken and recommendations made for final selection by ‘best match’ against your criteria. eLearning can be sourced for desktop, and IT technical projects or for management training alike. Occasionally, off the shelf eLearning may not be suitable, so customised content from a bespoke provider, or an authoring tool to produce eLearning in house may be the solution.
Learning management
Having completed an extensive review of the learning market place we are well placed to help you select the right learning management system. We know one size may not fit all so we offer three entry points, or building blocks, with optional upgrades for further development which can be implemented as your training needs grow.
Consultancy
Independent consultancy is available around five key stages of the technology training project lifecycle. Whether it is discussion and advice, selection and procurement, hands on practical support, project management or programme evaluation, we are here to help. We draw upon our extensive industry knowledge to give guidance on best practice, and share practical advice learnt over the years on previous eLearning projects. Please see a summary below of what you can expect from each stage of the consultancy process.
These are available as:
• Bronze • Silver • Gold
From simple access to Microsoft eLearning libraries such as desktop or technical courses, host content from other providers (multi vendor) to management of all types of classroom training resources.
A range of management services is available for training administration and reporting. Systems can be hosted or installed as a client side solution, with external support around system maintenance, annual upgrades and technical support.

Working alongside your team, we work up and agree a course of action, assist with project planning, produce marketing communication and provide day to day project management, administration and support.
