VendorVendor Management Services

To help you ensure that you have the best support and advice in the industry, we have developed deep strategic relationships with a large number of carefully selected top tier vendors. This enables a three-way engagement strategy which involves you and your colleagues; our Licensing Specialist; and the vendor. This means that any questions can be transparently worked through to ensure the resultant outcome is the best solution to meet your requirements.

Skilled Licensing

Specialists To help us keep ahead and therefore ensure you're given the information you need, we provide our Licensing Specialists with a mandatory weekly training session to ensure they are skilled in the different vendor licensing schemes by taking relevant exams.

With over 60 customer facing Licensing Consultants and a further 30 Internal Licensing Support Specialists across the UK all with access to our shared knowledge bank, this ensures that they will always be able to find an answer to your question – in a timely manner.

Negotiation

By working closely with our vendors we have a true insight into their world; we understand their challenges and sometimes how best to take advantage of any opportunities they may be offering. With hundreds of trading customers we can track pricing supplied by vendors as well as record any special concessions that we've managed to obtain, this could vary from be contractual benefits or discounted pricing. We use this information to directly benchmark renewals and our customers see the value that we give back to them.

Renewal Management

We are specialised in assisting our customers reduce the headache of managing, software licensing renewals. We have developed automated systems to help the renewal process and our account teams are focused on obtaining the best renewals deals. Our portal automatically sends reminders to any given relevant personnel giving them 90, 60 and 30 days notice until the renewal is due. We also use renewals as an opportunity to renegotiate with vendors to lower the renewal pricing for support/maintenance and additional licenses.

Distribution

As well as close strategic relationship with our top tier vendors we also have developed close working relationship with a select number of best of breed distributors. In order to reduce costs we utilizes our distribution network, our distributors also help strengthen vendor relationships, assist with additional training and support which ensures that our specialists can give you a better level of service.

Vendor Engagement and Education

Our close strategic relationship with top tier licensing vendors ensures that our Licensing Consultants and all of our internal teams – ranging from our Internal Support Teams, to our Procurement and Finance teams have access to, and great relationships with key personnel from these vendors. We have weekly vendor days during which the vendors spend time with all the various teams ensuring that they are always well educated on all the systems and procedures within their organisations. This means that our customers can be sure that we always understand the vendor not only from a product and licensing level but across the board, meaning that your issues can be dealt with seamlessly.

Vendor Licensing Statements

Our vendor engagements, coupled with the services available through our highly experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) division enable us to provide our customers with licensing statements across a broad range of vendors and licensing contracts. We are also able to provide more highly advanced SAM services, including license consolidation services and entitlement reporting, right through to full asset control managed services.

Complimentary Services

Whilst of course we strive to offer all these Services as some level to all of our customers, we have developed our service offering "upstep" path to help you understand how you can be making even better use of your engagement with Bytes. We have a dedicated vendor alliance team that sits within our Marketing Department that work to ensure that Bytes holds top accreditations with our key vendors to ensure we can get customers the best possible deals.
