Analyse Module
This set of services deliver an analysis of an organisation's current position, whether this is in terms of software licenses, technologies or SAM maturity. This analysis is required prior to positive actions being taken to address the current SAM state in order to help organisations understand where they are today.
Analyse services provide organisations with a baseline from which to make informed decisions on what to do about software compliance, SAM maturity as measured against industry models or the current health of technologies in place to manage software assets and their IT estate.
Analyse services include:
- Inventory Analysis. Analysis of installed software providing an understanding of functionality overlaps, product end-of-life risk analysis and software version spreads.
- Entitlement Analysis. Analysis of software contract ownership, contract scope, software maintenance and contract end dates to identity opportunities for improving buying terms.
- SAM Maturity Assessment. Objective assessment of organisation's SAM maturity in line with industry models such as ISO 19770 and ITIL v3.
- Technology Healthcheck. Comprehensive check of SAM technologies from providers such as Microsoft, Symantec (Altiris), FrontRange (Centennial) and Novell to provide advice and guidance in addressing any issues and fine tuning performance.
