Bytes Cycling Sportive 2024

We are very pleased to launch the inaugural Bytes Cycling Sportive! Join us for a fantastic day of networking with IT Leaders and cycling in the Surrey Hills on the 21^{st of} May 2024.

Hosted by Rebecca Charlton - Women’s Tour of Britain as well as Eurosport, ITV, Channel 4, and Sky - we will be cycling alongside Zoe Backstedt and, her father, Magnus. Zoe, a multi-time World Champion and fresh from winning the U23 Cyclo Cross World Championship, is a youth cycling phenomenon dominating categories across track, road and cross. Born into a cycling dynasty, her father Magnus competed at the very top level winning the 1998 Paris Roubaix and stages in both the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. We are very much looking forward to cycling with them and seeing whether it’ll be father or daughter taking the spoils up Box Hill!

There will be two routes to choose from on the day both leaving from Denbies Wine Estate – the Granfondo at 80km/50 Miles (w/ 857m of climbing) and the Mediofondo 58km/36 Miles (w/ 597m of climbing) We will be setting off at 9am and there will be designated coffee stops en route to keep energy levels up! Upon return to Denbies we will have lunch, networking, Q&A and live commentary on Stage 16 of the Giro D’Italia with Rebecca, Zoe, and Magnus. A key General Classification Day in the mountains.
