Updates to the Office 365 E1 offer

On 1st March Microsoft introduced a 6 month Office 365 E1 trial in CSP which allowed new customers to get up and running for free and for existing customers to add to their existing subscriptions. They have just announced a major change to this trial:
Starting 4th May:
- The trial will only be available to new customers. This will be technically enforced - a check is performed against the customers tenant to ensure there are no existing or recently cancelled subscriptions.
- There will be an annual commitment whereby the intial 6 months is free but billing starts automatically in month 7.
- The price will be locked from the point the customer purchases the E1 SKU in month 1.
- This does not affect customers who have 'purchased' the existing Office 365 E1 trial.
What is included in the trial?
For each license assigned to a user in the trial they will be provisioned additional backend services that enable them to experience the full value of Microsoft Teams. This includes:
- Exchange Online Plan 1
- Flow for Office 365 Plan 1
- Forms
- Microsoft Planner
- Microsoft Whiteboard
- Microsoft Teams (Teams1, Teams IW)
- Office Online
- PowerApps for Office 365 Plan 1
- SharePoint Online Plan 1
- Stream
- Sway
- Yammer Enterprise
