Check Point Eal4 Certification Now Available for R7X Versions

Bytes Security Partnerships are pleased to advise that the Common Criteria EAL4 of Check Point Software Blades R7x is now posted on the NIAP-CCEVS Product Compliant List. http://www.niap-ccevs.org/st/vid10387/

Check Point Announcement

This certification is for the firewall (packet filtering and application layer), the new IPS engine, IPsec VPN, Cluster and Acceleration, secure 3 tier architecture. The certification includes the 2012 hardware (including the 216** series) and current IAS appliances from Fujitsu, HP, IBM and Dell.

Also appearing on the NIAP-CCEVS Product Compliant List http://www.niap-ccevs.org/CCEVS_Products/pcl.cfm are new certificates for Medium Robustness (AVA_VLA.3) of VPN-1 NGX.

This is an additional certification that is only ratified after demonstration to successfully withstand penetration tests.

This makes the 3 newest certificates on the US Government Product Compliant List from Check Point. EAL4 certificates for VSX and Provider-1 were also awarded in 2012.

Impact for Bytes Customers

R7x products are now on the US and Government Product Compliant List, so suitable for any companies to whom this is an important criteria in choosing technologies.
