- comparing usage reports and infrastructure versus the number of IBM licences purchased
- identifying licences which may no longer be required
- identifying software licences that may have changed and where different software bundles could potentially optimise costs
- identifying any non-compliant software to enable customers to proactively address this matter directly with IBM
