ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role will be responsible for maintaining and growing the network security proposition in Bytes. Acting as a subject matter expert, the role will support a wide variety of teams at Bytes including sales, security overlays, security pre-sales and security services desk, to ensure we deliver the overall objectives for this proposition. The role will also involve regular customer facing opportunities and vendor/ distribution management, therefore having a good balance across all of these areas is key

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the sales teams to grow key customer relationships in cyber security, with focus being Network Security
  • Carry a target focused on growing the network security landscape (vendors will be specified)
  • Drive net new business in network security landscape
  • Manage existing renewals and identify upgrade & cross-sell opportunities within existing base
  • Be a face to face sales specialist for the sales teams, including attending customer meeting as a subject matter expert overlay
  • Have in depth knowledge of Network Security vendors/ proposition & be confident in scoping projects.
  • Work with sales to identify whitespace within accounts
  • Provide support to the sales teams & customers around key messaging
  • Work with marketing to create bespoke campaigns as a business enabler
  • Help manage the relationship between customer, Bytes and vendor
  • Manage on-site vendor days
  • Work closely with inhouse pre-sales, support, delivery and managed service teams across selected vendors.
  • Provide new starter training
  • Manage and maintain all portals
  • Maintain forecast and pipeline opportunities on CRM

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Customer facing role: Must be self-motivated and confident to approach customers directly
  • Although this is not a technical role, the individual must have a understanding of the technical approaches to Network Security
  • Keep all pipeline activity up to date in CRM and work towards 12-month pipe
  • Forecast on a month basis for commit and upside
  • Arrange account mapping sessions and help build relationships between Bytes AM and vendor account managers
  • Work on new business opportunities by attending customer calls, customer QBRs, profiling whitespace analysis
  • Work on upsell / cross sell into current customer base
  • Be a key customer contact for existing renewals, maintaining the base
  • Keep sales teams up to date with deals and offers
  • Keep Vendor information in shared files/ SharePoint/ teams clear and usable by all members of team
  • Attend regular reviews with team lead to ensure objectives are set and achieved
  • Identify new campaigns to drive pipeline
  • Identify current market landscape and suggest new innovative technology/ services which can be considered as value to the business area
  • Have a clear understanding of inhouse support desk, pro-service delivery and managed service options available to selected vendors and Bytes customers
  • Run monthly sales report and chase any outstanding orders to maximise GP
  • Ensure all SLA’s are met or exceeded and that ETA’s are correctly

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educated to GCSE Level with minimum of A-C Grade in Math and English

  • Previous IT sales experience (minimum 4 years) essential, in Reseller or distributor

  • Knowledge of selling IT security solutions

  • Experience of network security sales

  • Customer facing experience

Desired Qualifications Experience:

  • Educated to A-Level standard
  • Check Point Sales Accreditations

  • Palo Alto Sales Accreditations

  • Other Network Security sales accreditations

  • Vendor development management experience
