ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be responsible for maintaining and growing the Desktop Management division at Bytes, acting as a subject matter expert. You will be supporting a diverse group, including corporate and public sector sales, Modern Workplace overlay specialists & pre-sales. The role will involve regular customer facing opportunities and vendor/ distribution management, therefore having a good balance across all these areas is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for defining and driving Bytes Next Gen Desktop Management strategy, ensuring we maximise our ability to increase our AVD and DaaS Service footprint within our customer base. A significant focus will be on driving our managed services, employee experience products and Citrix messaging in this space.
  • To work closely with the Modern Workplace team, to align messaging and sales activity. Ensuring the messaging is integrated with MWP and projects are combined where possible.
  • Providing customer facing technical support to the sales teams, acting as a subject matter expert to clients.
  • Have in depth knowledge of the EUC and Employee Experience vendors/ proposition & be confident in scoping projects and ensuring the most appropriate technical solution is chosen.
  • To be the conduit between the sales teams, vendors, distribution, and key customer stakeholders to drive key relationships
  • Be a target carrying head focused on growing Revenue and GP number. A significant focus will be on driving the managed services number.
  • To work closely with distribution and vendors to maximise rebates and scalable resources
  • Working closely with inhouse pre-sales, support, delivery, and managed service teams

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Proactive engagement in developing and maintaining their own knowledge and experience to enable continued expertise in their field.

    Be able to impart this technical knowledge to customers and train and enable sales teams
  • Work with sales and overlay teams to identify whitespace within accounts & proactively target customers with messaging
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities within pipeline opportunities for wider MWP proposition

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educated to A-Level standard
  • A good broad working knowledge of EUC technologies and toolsets: Citrix, Vmware Horizon, Microsoft Intune, AVD, W365 and Windows 10/11

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure products like VMware, Xenserver, VX:Rail

  • Knowledge of EUC technologies and solutions

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in an EUC role (ideally Vendor, Reseller or distributor experience)

  • Customer facing experience

  • Vendor development management experience

  • Experience coaching & influencing senior stakeholders

  • Commercial / Bid awareness

  • Excellent presentation delivery

  • Technical writing ability

  • Accuracy & Attention to detail

  • Excellent organisational and customer service skills

  • Excellent Time Management & Project prioritisation

Desired Qualifications Experience:

  • Educated to Degree standard
  • Knowledge of application streaming products

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud or Amazon Cloud Services

  • Exposure to Virtualised Environments (VMware and Hyper-V)
