ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is an opportunity to join a hardworking dynamic team within the ever-expanding successful Bytes family. This role sits within our wider Vendor Alliances & Commercial Operations team, who have an excellent team morale and support structure in place.

The focus of this role is to effectively help manage our operational relationship with suppliers/distributors by building strong and lasting relationships with them. Main tasks include proactive renewals management, new supplier on-boarding, CRM management and ensuring our system data is kept current.

You will also be providing a high level of operational support to internal account management teams by managing and proactively quoting renewals for non-strategic vendors. Ensuring these are completed in a timely fashion, processes are followed correctly and supplier SLAs monitored, thus delivering operational excellence and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive management of the request for renewals quotes within our non-strategic vendor space and follow up on all renewal quotations within set timelines
  • Complete loss analysis – focus on customer contract retention. Renewals close rates & ensure min. margins are being protected
  • Complete spot checks on distribution quotes to ensure they are quoting at our agreed margins
  • Work in collaboration with our Legal and Purchasing teams to ensure new suppliers / distributors are on-boarded correctly and internal processes followed
  • Manage the addition of solutions to CRM and ensure these are correctly aligned to existing propositions
  • Ensure robust processes are implemented and managed and that operational procedures are adhered to
  • Form strong relationships and liaise with suppliers / distributors to ensure the data we hold is correct and up to date

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Add & update vendor and supplier information on the Bytes Portal
  • Work closely with the Legal and Purchasing teams to on-board new suppliers smoothly
  • Be the central point of contact for renewal requests from internal departments, responding within reasonable timescales 
  • Liaise with our mainstream distributors to ensure renewal quotations are provided within SLAs and best pricing is secured
  • Ensure robust processes are implemented and managed and that operational procedures are adhered to
  • Update internal systems to ensure all renewal information is correct
  • Focus on customer retention and margin protection by working with the account teams
  • Work cohesively with the Sales teams to build strong relationships
  • Cleanse portal data on an annual basis
  • Regularly touch base by phone or email with distributors to ensure their information is correct on the Bytes SharePoint
  • Keep all process guides up to date
  • Escalate issues to the Non-Strategic Vendor & Distribution Manager swiftly
  • Evaluate efficiencies and put ideas for improvements forward
  • Support others in the team during busy times
  • Assist in training new starters to the team
  • Provide cover for members of your team as necessary

 

ABOUT YOU :

  • Minimum GCSEs (A-C) English & Mathematics essential
  • Good understanding of IT (specifically software) desirable
