ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the replacement of our finance system. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial analysis and system selection to implementation, testing, data migration, and change management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mid-tier finance systems and possess the ability to perform business analysis tasks, including reviewing current processes and effectively engaging with both business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end replacement of our finance system, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline

  • Perform business analysis activities, including conducting a thorough review of current finance processes, identifying pain points, and gathering requirements from stakeholders

  • Collaborate with business users, finance teams, and technology teams to understand their needs, facilitate effective communication, and ensure alignment of project objectives

  • Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of available finance systems, considering factors such as functionality, scalability, integration capabilities, and vendor support

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to select the most suitable finance system, considering the specific requirements of the organization

  • Identify potential gaps and dependencies that may arise from the system replacement and collaborate with relevant teams to develop strategies for addressing those gaps

  • Plan and execute the implementation of the new finance system, including system configuration, customization, and integration with existing systems

  • Develop and execute a robust testing strategy to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of the new system

  • Oversee data migration activities, ensuring the successful transfer of financial data from the legacy system to the new platform

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive change management plan, including training programs, user adoption strategies, and effective communication plans

  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively manage issues and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle

  • Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and senior management

 

ABOUT YOU :

Qualifications, Core competencies & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically leading finance system replacement projects
  • Strong understanding of mid-tier finance systems and their functionalities, with prior experience in implementing and managing such systems
  • Ability to perform business analysis tasks, including process reviews, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, practices, and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technology teams, facilitating communication and driving alignment
  • Experience in evaluating and selecting software vendors, conducting vendor negotiations, and managing vendor relationships
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with the ability to tailor approaches based on project needs
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple work streams, and meet project deadlines
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams toward project success
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven experience in change management, including user adoption, training, and effective communication strategies
