ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative UX/UI Designer to join our team on a fixed term contract basis. As our UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that provide exceptional user experiences within our Marketplace product. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the user interface for the IT products and services we offer online, ensuring a clear selection and ordering process and that the UI aligns with our brand identity and business goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product manager, product owner, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into user-centered design solutions

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts

  • Participate in user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions

  • Develop and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and design system components to ensure consistency across products

  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, user testing results, and market trends to continuously improve the user experience

  • Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and provide guidance throughout the development process

  • Be up to date on latest UX/UI trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

ABOUT YOU :

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • A strong design portfolio demonstrating your skills and experience in UX/UI design is essential

  • Proven experience in designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications, with a deep understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices

  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering actionable insights to inform design decisions

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software

  • Solid understanding of front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to effectively communicate with developers

  • Strong visual design skills with an eye for aesthetics, typography, and layout

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines to ensure inclusive and accessible design

  • Continuous learning mindset, staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of using Azure DevOps / Jira
