Bytes Security Partnerships teams up with new vulnerability management vendor Secunia
Press Release July 17th: Bytes' new partnership meets increased demand for cyber technologies and vulnerability specialists
Secunia, a global supplier of Software Vulnerability Management products and services, has signed a partnership agreement with Bytes Security Partnership (SP), the network security specialist company within the Bytes Group to provide vulnerability and patch management solutions and services to UK customers.
The Secunia product set provides Bytes SP with a solution to meet the vulnerability management requirements of its customers, through application and operating system patching. Bytes SP specialises in providing solutions and consultancy in security products and technologies, and will be an authorised reseller for both Secunia's VIM vulnerability management and CSI patch management.
The Fit Between Bytes and Secunia
Vulnerabilities are a root cause of security issues – an error in software that can work as an entry point for hackers and can be exploited to gain access to IT systems. IT teams have the challenge to maintain a complete overview of all applications on all devices in and connected to their infrastructure. They have to correlate this inventory with intelligence about new vulnerabilities, solution status and patch availability for those applications.
Vulnerability management and patch management tools are essential to stay on top of this, and increasingly, an important part of the solutions that Bytes Security Partnerships delivers to customers.
