Copilot for Microsoft 365: Licensing and accessibility – What you need to know

Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now available for organisations of all sizes, with no minimum seat requirement. This follows an update made on the 15th of January, where Microsoft outlined their aspirations to make Copilot more widely accessible for a larger breadth of organisations. The update included:

  • Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now generally available for small businesses with M365 Business Premium.
  • Business Standard Customers can purchase between 1 and 300 seats for $30 per person per month.
  • The 300-seat purchase minimum for commercial plans was removed.
  • Copilot for Microsoft 365 was made available for Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 customers.
  • Commercial customers can now purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365 through the Bytes Cloud Dashboard under CSP.
