At Cisco Live, Cisco made its strategic direction clear. The company is positioning itself as an end‑to‑end technology provider, bringing networking, security, observability and services together under a single vision known as Cisco One. The goal is simple: reduce complexity, simplify operations and help organisations operate securely at scale.

AI was the unifying theme throughout the event. Cisco demonstrated how AI and security are now embedded across the entire portfolio, enabling customers to move away from reactive IT operations and towards intelligent, automated, and proactive environments.

From a Bytes Software Services perspective, this approach directly aligns with the challenges we see customers facing today, including skills shortages, tool sprawl and increasing operational pressure.

Networking: Simplification Through Agentic Operations

Cisco’s networking updates focused on transforming how networks are operated. The introduction and expansion of AgenticOps marks a shift from traditional network management to autonomous, AI‑driven operations.

Using unified platforms such as Meraki and Cisco Cloud Control, teams can now interact with their networks using natural language, asking AI agents to identify root causes, recommend fixes and even automate remediation. Continuous telemetry and real‑time analysis enable networks to move from reactive troubleshooting to proactive optimisation.

Cisco also highlighted future‑ready innovation, including quantum‑safe networking and sustainability‑focused switching, reinforcing that intelligence, security and efficiency are now built into the network by design.

Security: Embedded, Unified and AI‑Native

Security followed the same simplification narrative. Cisco showcased how security is no longer a separate layer, but an integral part of the network and operating model.

Through Cloud Control, AI Canvas and the AI Assistant, Cisco is delivering a unified, AI‑native security experience that centralises policy, visibility and response across the security stack. Agentic AI provides continuous optimisation, autonomous troubleshooting and built‑in protection for AI‑driven workflows.

Cisco also reinforced its commitment to regulated and sovereign environments, expanding secure national infrastructure and enhancing SASE with AI‑aware traffic optimisation to support modern, AI‑heavy workloads.

Splunk: Observability That Powers AI

Splunk was positioned as the data and observability foundation that enables Cisco’s AI strategy. By unifying telemetry across networks, infrastructure, applications and users, Splunk helps close long‑standing context, time and cost gaps.

Cisco and Splunk demonstrated how agentic observability enables faster detection, troubleshooting and remediation, while hosted AI models provide advanced analytics without added complexity. Native integration across Cisco platforms ensures observability becomes actionable intelligence rather than just insight.

Services: Cisco IQ and the Unified Customer Experience

One of the most significant announcements at Cisco Live was Cisco IQ, a new unified, AI‑powered experience that connects the entire customer journey.

Cisco IQ brings together support, professional services, automation and learning into a single interface. Built on agentic AI, it delivers personalised insights, proactive recommendations and guided actions across planning, deployment, operation and optimisation. This approach reduces friction, accelerates time‑to‑value and augments human expertise with AI‑driven intelligence.

Cisco Live reinforced that Cisco One is more than a message. It is a platform‑driven strategy that unifies technology, security, observability and services through AI.

By embedding intelligence across the entire portfolio, Cisco is enabling organisations to simplify operations, reduce risk and operate with greater confidence. At Bytes Software Services, we see this as a powerful shift that supports customers on their journey to modern, secure and AI‑driven IT.
