Microsoft Launches New innovations to simplify and strengthen Zero Trust

Microsoft has recently announced the general availability of the Microsoft Entra Suite, which is a significant innovation in the realm of Zero Trust security. The suite is designed to simplify the implementation of a Zero Trust architecture across various aspects of cybersecurity, including identities, endpoints, networks, applications, data, and infrastructure.
The Microsoft Entra Suite includes several key components:
- Microsoft Entra Private Access: Replaces legacy VPNs with an identity-centric Zero Trust Network Access for securing access to private apps and resources.
- Microsoft Entra Internet Access: An identity-centric Secure Web Gateway (SWG) for SaaS apps and internet traffic, protecting against various threats.
- Microsoft Entra ID Governance: Automates identity and access lifecycle to ensure appropriate access across apps and services.
- Microsoft Entra ID Protection: Provides advanced identity solutions to block identity compromise using high-assurance authentication methods and adaptive access policies.
- Microsoft Entra Verified ID: Offers real-time identity verification in a secure and privacy-respecting manner, including premium Verified ID capabilities like Face Check.
These components work together to verify users, prevent overprivileged permissions, improve detections, and enforce granular access controls for all users and resources. The suite represents a comprehensive approach to secure access, aiming to unify Conditional Access policies for identities and networks, which is essential for a robust Zero Trust security strategy.
