Microsoft Price Increases 1st Jan 2017

Microsoft has announced wide scale price increases being made to British pound pricing effective 1st January, 2017.


What’s Happening:

Microsoft has announced British pound price changes to harmonise its prices for enterprise software and cloud services within the EU/EFTA region - effective January 1, 2017. The increases are:

  • On-premises enterprise software will increase by 13%
  • Enterprise cloud will increase by 22%


Affected Licensing Agreements:

  • Enterprise Agreement
  • Open License Agreement
  • Open Value & Open Value Subscription Agreement
  • Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA)
  • Select/Select Plus Agreement
  • ISV Royalty and Distribution Agreement
  • Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA)
  • Cloud Solution Program (CSP)
  • Syndication (Price adjustment takes effect from 1 Feb)
  • Microsoft Online Subscription Program

Note: For business customers, these changes will not affect existing orders under annuity volume licensing agreements for products that are subject to price protection. However, prices for NEW product additions under such volume licensing agreements and purchases under new contracts will be will be as defined by the pricelist at the time of order.
