Server Subscriptions for Azure

Microsoft will soon launch Server Subscriptions for Azure – allowing customers to deploy on Azure or servers dedicated to customers use. This Subscription will be unique to the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Program.

Server Subscription for Azure will be available for 1 or 3 year terms and can be used to enable the Azure Hybrid Benefit which when combined with Reserved Instances can reduce costs by up to 80%.

The following software will be available as a Server Subscription for Azure:

  • SQL Server Standard (2 pack of Core Licenses)
  • SQL Server Enterprise Core (2 pack of Core Licenses)
  • Windows Server Standard (8 pack of Core Licenses)
  • Windows Server CAL
  • Windows Server External Connector License
  • Windows Server Active Directory Rights Management Services CAL
  • Windows Server Active Directory Rights Management Services External Connector License

There will be two deployment options: Assigned to Azure or Assigned to Customer’s Servers.
